The popularity of fiction and nonfiction has been rising rapidly over the past decade, with more than 1 billion books and more than 30 million novels published in 2016.

But for many authors, the books that are the most popular aren’t the ones they wrote.

For one thing, authors like Michael Crichton and Ursula K. Le Guin are often lauded for their writing, and there’s a popular belief that the most exciting stories are those with strong female characters.

But for all the praise, what do you really know about these two genres?

It was the No. 2 bestseller in the United Kingdom in 2017 and was also named to the New York Book Review’s top 200 books of the year.4.

Angela Carter by Laura Hillenbrand (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, $19.99 paperback)4: Hillenbarger has become a fan favorite among children and young adults, having written and illustrated more than 100 books.5.
